This is one of a plethora of "not yet described" white Lepidellas from Eastern North America. It is noted for its double annulus (commonly occurring), curved scales on the subrooting bulb and odor of burned sugar. Like other members of that group, this one also show some brownish staining upon bruising. The identification was provided by Rod Tulloss who is the only person to have good solid species concepts for Amanita in that part of the World.
