This is the most common Pacific Northwest version of the "Yellow Chanterelle". Known to be associated primarily with Spruce and Douglas Fir it fruits ubiquitously, particularly in the more temperate zones of Oregon and Washington.

The hymenial layer can have a pinkish hue.
