Coprinopsis DB01016  (undescribed)                        *Collections California, SF Bay Area

This is small white Coprinopsis is fairly common in the SF Bay Area. It fruits in the rich humus of narrow gulches, most commonly around California Bay. At mushroom fairs it typically gets id-ed as the European C. niveus, but that id is clearly wrong on account of completely different spores, as well as habitat. There is nothing in the otherwise thin literature of Western American Coprinus that matches.

Spores: 12-14 x 6-8µ
