| These California collections show strong affinity to Cortinarius elegantior. They differ in the more intense red reaction with KOH than reported from European material, particularly on the context. This species seems to be associated mainly Spruce as I have not seen collections from South of Mendocino. Further analysis should reveal how close these collections are to the original species.. | ||
