Cortinarius niveoglobosus  H. Lindstr. 1992                                              *Collections: PNW

This peculiar Cort reminds one strongly of a colorless Cortinarius traganus form as it shares the same strong and fruity odor. This species is fairly common the Pacific Northwest under spruce or other conifers, but appears rarely in Northern Calfironia. The molecular data form western North Maerica is very close to the European species.
