Cortinarius pluvius  (Fr.) Fr. (1838)                                                     *Collections: Europe and PNW

Cortinarius pluvius is an attractive little Myxacium that stands out with its saturated, yet quite variable colors. The cap color varies between yolk yellow to fully orange. It has the same bitter taste with the other members of the Section Vibratiles, Cortinarius vibratilis and Cortinarius causticus.
