Entoloma sericellum(Fr.) P. Kumm., (1871)
*Collections: PNW Syn: Alboleptonia sericella v. lutescens
(Henn.) Largent & R.G. Benedict (1970)
This small, white Entoloma is one of the
prettiest species in the woods. It is more common in the Northern wetter
forests of Calfironia. The popular name in Western North America was
Alboleptonia sericella as Largent and Benedict erected a separate
Genus around that species -- Alboleptonia. Later phylogenetic
studies refuted that Genus and returned the species under Entoloma.
