Collection: Tilden Park, Northern California

Collection: Sierra Nevada
Nolanea hirtipes (Worldwide distribution) Easily distinguished in the field by its leggy stature and rancid odor. The odor is hard to describe, but has a chemical component, like a paint dissolvent. A similar species N. pseudohirtipes is a montane dweller appearing at the upper elevations of Sierra Nevada.
