Camarophyllus russocoriaceus (Berk. & Jos.K. Mill.) J.E. Lange (1923)
Proper Synonym: Hygrocybe russocoriacea (Berk. & Jos.K. Mill.) P.D. Orton & Watling

Collections: Sierra Nevada

This little species is easily distinguished by its distinct odor. The light greenish cast is visible in most collections. Members of Genus formerly known as Camarophyllus have been transferred to Hygrocybe Section Cuphophyllus. Here I maintain more Field Guide friendly attitude by sticking to the old and familiar name.
