In
Northern California Chlorophyllum brunneum tends to be very
common in certain locations under Monterey Cypress. It also tends to like
Eucalyptus as well.
The picture on the right shows the unearthed cluster from left. There is an
interesting caespitose habit showing fruitbodies shooting in all directions,
including down.
