Suillus imitatus A.H. Sm. & Thiers (1964) *Collections: PNW
Suillus imitatus is to be a close relative Suillus caerulescens. The main difference is that this species has glabrous cap, lacking the innately fibrillose to scaly (when dry) features of S. caerulescens. Both seem to be associated mainly with Douglas Fir, although that other conifer associations are likely. |
