Chanterelles                                                                                           NSIW  = Not Seen In The West

Cantharellus cinnabarinus  -- these tiny guys were everywhere, patches numbering tens to hundreds of fruitbodies. Many had paled out and lost their red color...    NSIW

Cantharellus cibarius    The largest patches that I saw were in Kentucky (Boon Nat'l Forest) where the season was peaking. In the wetter areas saw many unusually tiny fruitbodies, as large as a fraction of an inch.
